So we have finally decided to Ebay D's stuff.  Hopefully we can get some of these thing out of the house!  lol.  But seriously, I am happy that these look so beautiful and D has found something that he enjoys doing.

Blue Crow Leatherworks, Doctor Jones (Doc) and an insight of our new venture.

Recently we revamped our website and auction sites to include these awesome pictures.  We thought we needed some pictures that looked more professional, after all, those pictures are the only way we can offer our product.  After spending weekends creating a photo studio, shooting these guys in a variety of poses and selecting the best shoots, we upload those babies up on the web. But a funny thing has come to our attention, those pictures are great....but where is the dog?  In the effort to be professional about the product, we lost touch with the element that people can relate to the most: our beloved dog!  So, re-introducing our spokesdog: "Doc".

We still have those great, professional pictures...but what is funny is that those are not what brings people by...it's this lovely pic.  A simple, backyard photo that has our relaxed and happy Doc lounging in the background.  

Now, Okay, let's be frank.  We are a very small fish in this Internet sea.  And I think I have underestimated the size of the world, because apparently having thousands of people click on your site every day is really not a fantasy for many. People (or companies) literally spend thousands of dollars a day for those daily clicks, just to click!  We have a hard time competing with that.  And I can feel the struggle of the small business owner trying to compete with those figures.  But people do it, and I wonder how? 

Family Fishing Days and taking one step at a time.

Sending these beauties to Eugene, Oregon to my sister who works with Head Start.  They are going to have a raffle at their Family Fun Day.  I was thrilled to be able to donate these to such a great cause and keeping my fingers crossed that our business cards will increase our website traffic.  

We spent the afternoon going to the Farmer's Market and getting an idea what that might be like if we were to set up there next season.  Excited to try it out, but also a bit overwhelmed...it is scary getting out there and trying out new things.  The young spirit inside is up for the challenge and throws caution to the wind...but that is quickly tempered with my fears. 

I am definitely a one step at a time person, when I look at the mountain we are climbing I stop and panic...sure we can not make it to the top.  If I change my perspective and just look at the step ahead, I am sure I can make that step.  So..step by step there is forward movement.  Just a matter of perspective.
